Mrs. Ana C. (Torres) Maldonado, 88, a resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the M.I. Restorative and Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Jauyuya, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Maldonado was educated in Puerto Rico and came to the Lawrence area 43 years ago. While living in Puerto Rico, Mrs. Maldonado would help her husband with farming as well as doing people's laundry. She was an attendant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. The widow of Pedro J. Maldonado, family members include: daughters: Julia Rodriguez of Lawrence Juanita Rodriguez of Puerto Rico Blanca Gonzalez of Lawrence Migdalia Rodriguez of Lawrence Bethzaida Gonzalez of Lawrence Awilda Maldonado of Lawrence Maria De Losangeles Maldonado of Puerto Rico and Lourdes Maldonado of Lawrence sons: Orlando Maldonado of Lawrence and Miguel Maldonado also of Lawrence. Mrs. Maldonado is also survived by several brothers, sisters, 100 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ernesto Rodriguez, Argelia Rodriguez, and Yeida Maldonado A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
