I will look back and enjoy time spent with my Uncle Jim as most often he had a way of making me grin. James J. Breen was my Grandfather Jeremiah's younger brother and although my Grandfather passed away nearly twenty-two years ago, Jim helped to keep this connection alive. I will remember Jim for his love of big comfortable cars. Additionally, like all Breens, Jimmy knew how to play cards (45's) and tell a good story. Often I was able to enjoy a bit of both at the same time. To say Jim was colorful is to say Shakespeare wrote a few poems. The amazing thing about Jim and his vast collection of life experiences and stories is they were true! As the saying goes, Jimmy knew all the details including where the bodies were buried. As my Great Uncle, Jim maintained connections with me and easily navigated the seemingly endless number of nieces and nephews who could refer to him as Great, Great Uncle Jim! I cannot recall a telephone conversation with Jim when he forgot to ask about my wife and four children by name. We will all miss his blend of Breen charm, warmth and candor. Lastly, we are comforted in the knowledge that he will continue to live in the minds and hearts of all who knew him. Good Bye Uncle Jim. God Bless, Kevin J. Breen and Family Salem, NH
