Mona S. Shank's Obituary
Mona S. (Rancourt) Shank, 86, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Methuen.
Born and educated in Lawrence, Mona was a graduate of St. Rita’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for many years as a Home Health Aide. During the Big Band Era she had worked as a Hostess at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH.
The daughter of the late Leo J. and Mary (O’Gorman) Rancourt and the widow of the late Donald A. Shank, members of Mona’s family include her son Robert Bonanno of St. Petersburg, FL, 4 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mona was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Ann Della Cioppa as well as 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
