Michael V. Finn's Obituary
Michael V. Finn, a longtime resident of Lawrence, MA passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on May 25, 2021, at the age of 72 while doing something that he loved, playing golf.
Known to many as “Mickey”, he was born in Lawrence on April 20, 1949 to James L. and Margaret (Bateman) Finn and was educated in the Lawrence schools. After graduating from Lawrence High School, Michael was drafted into the Marines where he served in the Vietnam war and became a Purple Heart recipient.
Mickey worked and retired from the Lawrence Postal Service. He was an avid golfer and a huge fan of any and all Boston sports. Mickey will be remembered as a man of few words and respected by all who knew him, especially his fellow golf buddies.
He is survived by his cousins and their families, his faithful neighbors, and friends, and by his former wife Janis (Bortolino) Haynes of Salem, NH. He was predeceased by his parents, James, and Margaret, and his three brothers, James, William, and Paul.
Friends are invited to a memorial service gathering at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA on Sunday June 13, 2021 between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 P.M.
