Michael A. Palermo's Obituary
Michael A. Palermo died on December 23, 2008. He was 91 years old. He leaves two daughters, Rosemary Palermo of Methuen, and Linda, wife of Al Turco of Belmont, MA, two granddaughters, Gina Mataele of Belmont, MA and Sarah Palermo of Keene, NH and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his stepson, Ronald Fortier and wife Jackie of Bedford, NH. Who often came down and brought him to the movies, wheelchair and all. He was very loved by his family and friends and truly enjoyed life to the max. He was fun to be with and leaves us all with many happy memories of good times shared. He was married to Millie Leonardi, mother of his children, for many years until her death. Later in life he wed Theresa Fortier, now deceased, with whom he shared his love for travel. He was educated in the Lawrence Public Schools and was employed at Western Electric for many years until his retirement. He had many hobbies, including photography, scuba diving, skiing, and stained glass. He loved reading Westerns, going to the movies, going to the beach and eating good Italian food. He found pleasure in everything he did and will be sorely missed. Arrangements: A brief service will be held at the John Breen Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, A, at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008, and burial will be at the St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemeteries immediately following the service.
