Mavis Twomey Cox, a lifelong resident of Shawsheen Village in Andover, MA and Great Boar's Head in Hampton Beach, NH, passed away on Sunday, November 11 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 8, 1928 in A Read Obituary
god bless mrs cox- my mom away from home. mike and i were inseperable as kids and we gave her more than her share of problems. (innocent of course) i was sad to hear of her passing, and even though contact between us has dwindled, i feel a part of my childhood has passed as well. i will miss her. mike winters
Mavis was a very special person! She lived her life as a strong role model for others, and a dedicated professional who served the Andover Community she so loved for 40 years. Over the past week, we have shared so many stories and cherished times with Mav. She taught us so much through her gentle way; love of family, respect for others and passion for your work. I know that her legacy lives on through her loving family. You were the center of her life. She took quiet pride in all your accomplishments. I believe in the months ahead as you continue to share beautiful family stories and events you will all find comfort. Mav was simply the very best! We loved her and will deeply miss her at South.
