Mary E. (Hanley) Keleher's Obituary
Mary E. Keleher, 88 A resident of North Andover, died on Friday, December 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the Prescott House in North Andover. Mary was born on March 2, 1936 in Lawrence to John and Julia (Harvey) Hanley. Mary was educated in Lawrence Public Schools , and a proud graduate of Lawrence High School High class of 1953. She started her professional career at New England Telephone Company. She finished her career as an administrative assistant in the Admissions Office at Merrimack College. She was an avid New England sports fan. She enjoyed and adored her family and spending summer vacations with them. She especially loved summering in Hampton Beach with her large family. She also loved a good trip to the casino! Mary was a longtime volunteer with St. Vincent DePaul, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians Mary was very outgoing and loved being with her many family and friends. She loved hosting going to parties and spending time with her family and friends. She adored her children, grandchildren, and recently her great grandchildren. Every family gathering turned into a large celebration with Mary. She is proceeded by her loving husband of 59 years Joseph C. Keleher, her son Timothy J. Keleher her sisters Catherine (Bunny) Kilcoyne and Dorothy Halloran. She is survived by her daughter: Mary-Beth Smith and her husband Thomas of North Andover, her son: Joseph J. Keleher and his wife Kristina of Merrimac, MA, daughter Maureen A. Bird and her husband James of Manchester NH, her son Michael P. Keleher and his wife Kara of Amesbury, MA and daughter, Amy E. Kenneally and her husband Frank of North Andover MA. Grandchildren: Katelyn K. Healey, Kara Bostic, Matthew P. Keleher, Andrew T. Keleher, Natalie Keleher, Maeve Keleher, Liam J. Keleher, Sean Kenneally Jason Kenneally and Aaron Kenneally, and great grandchildren: Connor J. Healey, Emma Healey, Grace Bostic, Sophie Bostic, Elise Keleher, and Miles Keleher. A mass of Christian burial will be said in her name on Saturday, December 28th at 10:00AM in St. Michael Church, 196 Main St. North Andover, MA. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
