Mrs David was a big part of our childhood neighborhood! My mother remembers her as the sweetest, kindest friend and a wonderful cook! My siblings and I recall running around their yard and house playing basketball, the model train in the cellar, Mr David’s work bench with the smell of sawdust, rides to school, putting up a tent to camp out, listening to records and dancing in the living room, the beautiful flowers planted in the yard. Mrs David had a very distinctive sweet voice and she was always interested in what a young child had to say. She made you feel important. She was the “ neighborhood nurse”. Whenever there was a medical emergency, the Moms would say, “ Go get May”’. Even though we have left that neighborhood those memories live on and are a fabric of our upbringing! Now May and Al are together again! We thank you for being you!
Much love,
The Hewett family ❤️
