Martin "Marty" Gibbons' Obituary
Mr. Martin "Marty" Gibbons, 75, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 2nd, 1936 in County Galloway, Ireland to the late Nora (Gibbons) McElligott. He attended the schools in Ireland and later moved to Lawrence. Martin was a parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence. He worked in Mutual Manufacturing at the Everett Mills and later as a cutter for K.G.R. Clothing Company both in Lawrence. According to his family he enjoyed trips to the Mountains and family vacations. His family members include His brothers: Frank and his wife Geraldine McElligott of Lynn, MA Frederick and his wife Claudia McElligott of Saugus, MA Kevin and his wife Ellen McElligott of Lynn, MA. His sister: Marie and her husband Robert Cloonan of Lynn, MA His cousins: Daniel Donovan and his wife Maria of Haverhill, MA Shaun Donovan and his wife Natalie of NH and Las Vegas Connie Broderick and his wife Sarah of Haverhill, MA As well as several nieces and nephews who all adored him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
