I was a patient of the Doctor since I was a teenager, he was always there for me with a kind word and bedside manner. I was sad to lose him as my primary care physician when he retired, he had been my doctor for over 33 years. I just want to give his family my condolences and to tell them that he will be sorely missed by many, and that it was an honor to have known him.
To the family of Dr.Melia, We were saddened to hear of the passing of the doctor. He was our doctor from the time we were twenty three years old until he retired. He was a kind and gentle man who always greated you with a smile. May the memories give you comfort at this time. With our deepest sympathy, Richard and Rosalie LaRochelle

Dear Fran, This seems so impersonal but I do not have your home address. Please accept my very sincere sympathy in your loss of a wonderful doctor and, I'm sure, family man. Such a sad time of the year for you and your family. Big hugs, Carolyn
I had the great good fortune to be a patient of Dr. Melia for over 40 years. Whether from his offices in Lawrence, in Doctor's Park, or at Pentucket, he guided my health needs with a keen insight not only into physical symptoms but also with a perceptive look into the mind and soul. He made it a major point to never rush his exams and he had the unique ability to always ask the right questions to track down the cause of a problem. He was always professional and keenly compassionate. After his retirement, I saw other health care providers and often remarked that I felt I hadn't seen a doctor since my last visit with Dr. Melia. I offer my most sincere condolences to his family and count myself as being lucky for having known him as my physician and as a wise counselor. May he rest in peace, knowing the good work he left behind will always be remembered.
To the Melia family, Our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of our wonderful physician, Dr. Melia. He took care of our entire family and did it with kindness and compassion. He will always be remembered as one of the "best". As the saying goes "a job well done". Nancy & Peter Giarrusso
