Marjorie L. (Howes) Lundgren's Obituary
Marjorie L (Howes) Lundgren passed away at The Meadows at Edgewood on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She was 98.
Marjorie was the daughter of Seva W. Howes and Kate O. Brown and was born at Lawrence General Hospital on December 3, 1924. In 1942, she graduated from Punchard High School in Andover, where she was a member of the Girls’ Marching Band. With her husband, Donald E. Lundgren, she was a long-time resident of Andover. For decades, she worked with her husband at Lundgren Funeral home; she was also employed by the IRS. Mrs. Lundgren was active in her church and in her children’s scout troops.
In 1984, the Lundgrens retired to Wolfeboro NH, and Bradenton, FL. She loved her home and time spent on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, her winters in Florida, and a well-played game of Bridge. She deeply loved her family. She returned to North Andover in 2015 following the passing of her husband.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband of almost 70 years, Donald E. Lundgren. She is survived her three children – Karen Parker (Edward), Bonnie Sanborn (James) and D. Richard Lundgren (Nancy), 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours are April 1 from 11- 12 with a funeral service at noon at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her burial service will follow for the family at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
