Marion L. (Flanagan) Bolan's Obituary
Marion L. (Flanagan) Bolan, 89 of North Andover passed away peacefully Saturday April 28, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Susan (McMahon) Flanagan. In 1923 her family moved to North Andover. She was educated at St Patrick's Grammar School in Lawrence and graduated from Johnson High School class of 1941. She was a parishioner of St Michael's Church and was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker who raised her three children in the same home that she herself grew up in. She was the loving wife of the late Francis Bolan and is predeceased by her seven older brothers, William, Joseph, Frank, Christopher, Arthur, Edward, and George. Marion is survived by her two sons William and Mark of North Andover, her daughter Sheila and her husband George Cavanaugh of Amesbury, three grandchildren, Ryan and Daniel Cavanaugh and Shannon and her husband Christopher Olbrot and two great grandchildren Cadence and Michael. She was also a favorite Aunt to her nieces and nephews and a caring person who held onto life long friendships. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Michael's Church in North Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery, also in North Andover, MA. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA.
