Marie Grace Michaud's Obituary
Marie Grace (Kenney) Michaud, longtime resident of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11 at Penacook Place in Haverhill. Marie was born June 9, 1921 in Lawrence, the forth of six children of Peter and Mary Kenney. The family moved to Methuen for a time, where Marie graduated from Methuen High school in 1939. She worked briefly inspecting bullets in an ordinance factory during the war before marrying Raymond J. Michaud of Lawrence in 1945 and raising five children. An artist at heart, she discovered a love if oil painting later in life and painted prolifically throughout her sixties and early seventies. Marie’s kind and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her. She always had a ready smile and kind word for everyone she encountered.
Marie is predeceased by her husband Raymond J. Michaud as well as a son, Raymond J. Michaud Jr. of Hickory, North Carolina and daughters Pauline Kronkhite of Biddeford, ME and Jeanne Michaud Brannon of Georgetown, MA. She is survived by son Ronald Michaud of Haverhill, MA and daughter Anne Michaud of Glendale, CA, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at John Breen Funeral Home in Lawrence.
