Marie Ida (Dion) Stapleton's Obituary
Mrs. Marie I. (Dion) Stapleton, 85, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008, at the home of her Grandson, William Duquette in Fremont, N.H. Born in Lawrence, Mrs. Stapleton was a graduate of St. Ann's Grammar School, and Lawrence High School. Mrs. Stapleton was retired from Raytheon in Andover, MA, where she had worked for 30 years. She later went on to work at Lawrence General Hospital as a part time nurse. Mrs. Stapleton had served in the United States Army during World War II. She was a member of the Methuen American Legion, Post #417. The widow of William L. Stapleton who passed away in 2007, as well as mother of the late Diane M. Noel who also passed away in 2007, family members include: her Grandson: William R. Duquette and his wife Susan of Fremont, NH. Sisters: Eleanor Lahey, of San Antonio, Texas, Rita Chouinard of Salem, NH, and Stella Lemieux of Methuen, MA., and great grandchildren: Nolan and Gavin Duquette of Fremont, NH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 9:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish-St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
