Marie T. Barry RN's Obituary
Marie T. Barry, RN, 92, a resident of Lawrence, MA, died on Monday June 17, 2019 at the Mary Immaculate Restorative and Nursing Center in Lawrence.
Marie was born in Lawrence on October 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary (Keleher) Barry. She was educated in St. Rita’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1945. Marie was a graduate of St. John Hospital of Lowell, Class of 1948. She began Nursing at Clover Hill Hospital in Lawrence and the Greenery in North Andover, MA. In her own words Marie loved being a Nurse.
She was pre-deceased by her brothers: Francis X, (State Police), Vincent L. and William, (Lawrence Police) and beloved sister-in-law Marietta “Detta” Barry. She is survived by her cousin Margaret Keleher Caffrey. Close friends: James Kennedy and Robin McCabe Kennedy, and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Friday, June 21st, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. With a funeral service to follow at 11:00AM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA, 01841. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery In Lawrence.
