May all her fond memories of all the love & laughter fill you heart every day... With Deepest Sympathy & Love, Dawn
Dear Tomaselli Family- Al,Joanne, Sam, David, and Bernie et. al. I'm so sorry to have read tonight of Peggy's passing. Every single time I walk down your old block on Essex Street, I think of your family. And I remember how much I enjoyed getting to know you Al, Joanne, David and Bernie "in the good ol' days" at your last Rosebud store. (And I remember Sam so well from the 80s). You filled my life with laughter, and good talks, and the knowledge that decent and funny people cared about me. When my own mother died, you were a huge comfort to me in my grief. And I remember so well, you designed beautiful flowers for her wake and funeral, including a huge vase of roses from your family to mine, with a lovely note. I have the note, written by Bernie, and petals from the flowers arranged by Al and David, in a clear glass box on the top of my roll top desk to this very night. It's right next to the pewter plate- with the City of Lawrence Seal- that your family ordered and sold exclusively at the store. And I feel lucky that I bought one of these treasures. These are the kind of business and personal gestures and decisions that you all practiced so well, as successfull florists/merchants in our city, for so many years. And it all started with Fred and Peggy, up on Jackson Street. Peggy was certainly a great teacher to you all. She passed on her love for the flower/ giftware business and for all kinds of people, and her love of family. Traits which you all practiced so well. Through you, even in her old age, she touched hundreds of lives every single week. I imagine that she has re-joined Freddy on the other side, and is happy to be in his warm circle of love once again. I regret that I can not arrange to come to the funeral, see you all, and express my feelings in person. But you are now, and will be, in the time ahead, in my thoughts...and yes, prayers, too. All my good wishes and love, Your Lawrencain Pal Gary Thomas Keating
Fred and Joanne, Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and yours at this time. Peggy was a wonderful caring person, she always gave us such heartfelt hugs whenever we saw her. May all the wonderful memories you've shared with her help to sustain you in your time of sorrow. Love, Barbara & Bob Rotondo
