Margaret J. McCarthy's Obituary
Margaret J. McCarthy, 73 formerly of Lawrence passed away Wednesday Feb 27, 2019 after a brief illness.
Margaret was born in Methuen on February 4th, 1946, the daughter of the late Joseph and Joan (Marchand) McCarthy. She was the niece of the late Joseph and Helen Keefe. She graduated from St. Patrick’s grammar and High School, and attended Lowell State College. For 35 years she worked for the US Treasury Department. Margaret lived in Ireland for 24 years, a place she truly loved and has many friends there. She is survived by her loving sister Anita and her husband Mark Morse, brother Frank, her aunt Beryl Marchand, nieces and nephews, godchildren Tracey Daniels and Emma O’Brien of Ireland, close friends Maureen and Arthur Daniels, and Marion O’Brien, several cousins and many friends here and in Ireland.
Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.
In lieu of flowers, please do a nice deed for a stranger.
At Margaret’s request there will be no calling hours.
All are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick Church 118 South Broadway Lawrence MA 01843. PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH. Her burial will immediately follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover.
