Lucille H. LaChance's Obituary
Lucille H. LaChance, (also known as Lu Lu), of Lawrence passed away peacefully while sleeping on April 6, 2020 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home at the age of 92. Lucille was born in Methuen on July 23, 1927 and educated in Methuen schools. She then worked for the Pacific Mills, where she met her future husband Aurele (Al). She then went on to work for the Western Electric Company (later changed to Lucent) in Andover Massachusetts retiring after 37 years. From her teen years to her 80’s, you would always find her lying in the sun from April through September working on that perfect tan. Lucille and Al were regulars at many local restaurants where everyone knew their names. Her favorite place to be was Plum Island, where they would spend a week or two every summer, initially with their children and later with their grandchildren, providing memories that last forever. Sadly, her husband Al passed in January of 2018.
Lucille is survived by her sister Mary Dupuis of Methuen, a daughter Deborah Gill and her husband Bruce of Brandon, FL; Richard and his wife Colleen of Wilbraham, MA; Ronald and his wife Linda of Huntersville, NC; Michael and his spouse Peter Geotis of North Port, FL, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Henry and Julia Dupuis (maiden name Desfosses), sister Doris, and brothers Henry, Robert, Albert and Ernest (Ernie).
