Lucia Immacolata Donofrio's Obituary
Lucia I. “Lucy” Donofrio (Acierno), 56, of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on September 3, 2019.
Lucy was born in Everett and was raised in Malden, Massachusetts. She worked many miscellaneous jobs throughout the years, but her greatest career in life was being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She spent her early days with her beloved family, enjoying Italian traditions and countless celebrations, as well as cheering on her favorite New England sports teams- especially the Bruins. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She left this life much too soon and will be greatly missed by many. Lucy was preceded in death by her father, Pasquale Acierno (2003), and mother, Concetta Acierno (2013), both of Malden, Massachusetts. Lucy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Edmund, and her son, Joseph, of North Andover. She leaves behind three sisters, Josephine Brown (spouse of Gary), Roseann McDonald (spouse of Mat), and Francesca Scola (spouse of Gary), and two brothers, Louie Acierno and Vincenzo Acierno. She was greatly loved by her many nieces and nephews, including Stefanie (Brown) Hammond (spouse of Clay), Alec Brown, Isabella McDonald, Adreanna McDonald, Justin Scola, and Vanessa Scola, as well as by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11:15 a.m. In St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, also in North Andover, MA. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA.
