Louann (Sawyer) Hoegen's Obituary
Louann(Sawyer) Hoegen born on December 12,1953 in Malden, MA lost her courageous battle with AML cancer on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of Daniel Hoegen, with whom she would have celebrated 48 years of marriage in April. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Elizabeth Rheaume, father Norman Sawyer, and brother Peter Sawyer. Also deceased by her Mother-in-law Mary Hoegen, with whom she had a special relationship.
She is survived by her sisters Paula Dykstra (Bill) Laurie Ploude, Suzanne Reynolds (Leo) and her brother Jay Sawyer (Melody). Many nieces, nephews and their children.
Louann was a school crossing guard for the town of North Andover along with her husband Daniel for many years after her retirement from medical transcribing. Louann loved the children and families she crossed.
Louann along with her soulmate Daniel, belonged to many clubs, enjoyed collecting Hibel art, Dept 56 and antiques. Louann loved her cats, Mia and Milo and will be remembered for her love for the dogs on her crossing corner as well.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Brigham and Woman’s Oncology staff for their excellent care and to her beloved doctor Dr . Maximilian Stahl.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, No. Andover, MA. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home following the call hours at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
