Loretta M. Perkins' Obituary
Loretta M. (Terreault) Perkins, 86, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, Loretta was a graduate of both St. Rita’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School. She was retired from Malden Mills and had also worked part time in the Bakery Department of Market Basket for 23 years. Loretta was a former member of the Eastern Star and had also been a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a loving and caring mother to her five children.
The widow of Merrill M. Perkins to whom she was married for 59 years, members of her family include her children: Merrill Perkins, Jr., Kathleen Silva, Maryann Lavoie, Teresa Perkins and Thomas Perkins, her siblings Elaine Pitochelli, John Terreault, Claire Couture, Barbara Matachun and Francis Provost. Loretta was the sister of the late Edmund Terreault and is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, 137 North Lowell St., Methuen, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 6:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
