Lincoln Weston Vaughan's Obituary
Lincoln Weston Vaughan of Georgetown, MA passed away at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport on Friday, January 3, 2020.
Mr. Vaughan was born March 9, 1945 in Lawrence, the son of Lincoln P. and Alice (Howes) Vaughan. He lived in Andover for 14 years before moving to North Andover in 1962. He has been a resident of Georgetown for 11 years. Mr. Vaughan had a special interest in classical music, especially works of Bach, Brahms, Handel and Mozart and took great pleasure in attending live symphony performances. He also enjoyed “vintage” television programming and popular and country music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He enjoyed traveling to visit various tourist attractions around New England such as the New England Scenic Railroad, the Hobo Railroad, and every fall... Topsfield Fair. His other interests included New England wildlife, especially Moose. Having a great interest in railroading in general, over the years he has assembled an extensive collection of model railroad engines, rolling stock, and memorabelia. In his younger years he spent a great deal of time building model trains and working out plans for various model railroad layouts. Survivors include a brother, Arthur S. Vaughan of North Andover; two sisters, Cynthia White of Chester, N.H. and Susan Hall of Andover, and several nephews and nieces.
Weston will be greatly missed by his family and close friends.
Arrangements: Calling hours as well as a memorial service at the funeral home will be held in May. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. Details will be published in the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune in the spring.
