Lillian M. Hoyt, 102, of North Andover, MA died peacefully on November 2, 2017. She was the beloved daughter of Jessie and John Monroe, and born in Andover, MA, the third of nine children. She married the love of her life, Walter Hoyt in 1939 at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover and had two children, Beverly and Walter, Jr. She retired from Western Electric in North Andover where she worked for many years. Lillian was always active, loved to sew and was very creative. She was always one to put the needs of others before her own. Her final years were spent buzzing around at Prescott Nursing Home, where she was nicknamed “Speedy.” She is survived by her loving daughter, Beverly Shea and Anthony Arcari, her son, Walter P. Hoyt, Jr., and her sister, Barbara Caldwell. She also leaves her grandchildren, Jodi Howshan and her husband Joe, Judy Salois and her husband Gene, Jill Asaro and John Whalen, and great-grandchildren, Jonelle Grunstad and her husband Eli, Samantha Howshan, Joey Howshan, Aidan Asaro, Santino Asaro, and Aubrey Whalen, as well as great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Walter P. Hoyt and her grandson, John E. Shea, III.
The family would like to thank the staff at Prescott Nursing Home for the exceptional care provided to Lillian. In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, there will be no services, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
