Lillian D. (Roy) Fredette's Obituary
Lillian D. (Roy) Fredette, 93, a resident of North Andover, MA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover. Born in Manchester, NH, Lillian was educated in the Lawrence School System. Lillian retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly AT&T, after more than 20 years. Lillian had been a member of the North Andover Senior Center as well as a parishioner of St. Michael?s Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and especially liked crocheting hats for newborns and afghans for nursing home patients. Lillian also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing cards and bingo at the senior center. The daughter of the late Desire and Hedwidge (Martineau) Roy, and the widow of the late Henry G. Fredette, family members include her children: Henry L. Fredette and his wife Jackie of Boynton Beach, FL, Linda Kinsey and her husband Jack of Leominster, MA, William A. Fredette and his wife Joyce of Methuen, MA, as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by 8 siblings. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Prescott House Nursing Home for the care and kindness that was given to Lillian. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael?s Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 MERRIMACK ST., NORTH ANDOVER, MA. Memorial contributions may be made in Lillian?s name to either St. Michael?s Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA, 01845, or to the charity of one?s choice.
