Leonor (Perez) Vega's Obituary
Leonor (Perez) Vega, 87, a resident of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 31st. 2023.
She was born and educated in Marianao, Cuba, Leonor came to the United States from Cuba in 1971. She loved to cook and she would cook for everyone, including her neighbors and tenants. Leonor also loved to play Dominoes and take trips to the mountains. She loved traveling and going on vacation with her family, especially to visit them in Florida.
Wife of the late Orlando Vega who passed in 2009.
Leonor’s family members include her daughter Lourdes Healy and her husband Kevin J. Healy of Methuen, MA.
Her granddaughter Tanya Groose and her husband Brian Groose of Littleton, MA.
Her great grandson Spewart (Jude) Groose.
Her late daughter Magaly Vega who passed in 2020.
She was the sister of the late Pedro Perez, Victor Perez and Eugenio Perez, as well as sister to the late Margot Perez, Angela Perez and Margarita Perez
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA.
