Leo R. Macklin died Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was 90. Born April 10, 1922 in North Andover, Leo was the youngest of seven children of the late John J. Macklin, a native of Keady, County Armagh, Northern Ireland and the late Rose Read Obituary
Please accept my deepest condolences. He was a very gentle man who laughed a good joke and knew when to hold your hand if you needed it. My husband and him had a lot in common. Faith, a love of family and a good sense of humor. Leo ( Jimmy Stewart) you will be forever in my mind as one of those great memories and friends that only once in a lifetime come across our lives. May you rest in peace, and when you see my husband in heaven give him a hug for me....

I am very sorry to hear about Leo and only wish I had learned about his death earlier. I am John Grimes, grandson of Rose Macklin's brother John. When I was young, my father used to take me to wakes in Dover, NH, where I frequently saw Leo and other members of the Macklin family.
