Lawrence Robert Dubois' Obituary
Lawrence R Dubois of Lawrence, Ma passed away peacefully on April 9 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born in Lawrence, raised in Methuen he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Irene (Beaulieu) Dubois. He attended Methuen public schools and was a graduate of Tenney High School class of 1957. Upon graduation he joined the US National Guard for a year then enlisted in the United States Air force where he served with the 3922nd Command Support Group for 4 years. Following that worked as a mechanical draftsman for Malden Mills then Badger Company in Cambridge as a pipe designer for 19 years until he retired. After retirement he worked for Brockway Smith and Sears and Roebuck repair department. He also volunteered for Elder Services for 18 years. He attended Sacred Heart Church where he started and worked Sunday bingo for many years.
He was the loving and devoted husband of Lucia (Gosselin) for 56 wonderful years. He was a dedicated to his family And enjoyed going to his his two grandsons baseball, basketball and soccer games. He enjoyed woodworking and could build or repair anything. He was always ready to help anyone he could. He loved a challenge, watching the Boston Red Sox and Patriots , genealogy, puzzles, playing 45’s and just spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his sons Andrew and Mark. His daughter Michele Moynihan and her husband David, his grandchildren Derek and Dylan Moynihan. His brothers Barry and his wife Karen, David and his wife Donna, his sisters Lorraine Beaudoin, Irene Frazier, Arlene Svenson, Elaine Sefsick, and many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.
His service and burial will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Augustine's Cemetery, Lupine Road, Andover, MA. His Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mass General Cancer Center, Spaulding Rehab Charlestown, or Care Dimensions of Danvers Ma. All who played an important part in caring for Lawrence during the last year.
