Youssef Kamal El-Hage
Please accept my deepest and sincerest condolences for the passing away of my late grandparent Laurina. You might be surprised to know that I am one of your remote relatives from Lebanon. I am trying to identify, locate and get in touch with my US parents since more than two years, still with no success. My kinship to you is the following: the mother of the late Ernest W., husband of Laurina (or the mother-in-law of Laurina), is the late Sarah (born Hajj) Kanan, who is the eldest sister of my grandfather, Youssef El-Hage (El-Hage is a slightly different spelling of the family Hajj). My name is also Youssef El-Hage (like my grandfather), and I am a university professor of physics in Lebanon. I would like very much to establish strong ties with my present US relatives and learn as much as I can about my forefathers who emigrated to the US in the twentieth century. I extend my profoundest condolences to Rita (Hileman) and Richard Kanan(my cousins of the second order) as well as to my other cousins of the second order Joseph G. Kanan (son of George T. Kanan and Vincenza Alianello), Lawrence M., Matthew J. and Stephen M. (sons of Abdo Kanan and Mary Deeb), as well as to Marjorie Ann and Marie Louise (daughters of Abdo and Mary). I also express my heartfelt condolences to the third generation of the Kanans, of whom I only know Joseph Kanan Jr. and Daniel(sons of Joseph G. Kanan), Lawrence M. Jr. (son of Lawrence M. Sr., I guess),and Amy J. (daughter of Matthew J., I guess). Please reply to my email address: [email protected]. With my renewed sincerest condolences, Youssef Kamal El-Hage
