I just found out about Larry's passing yesterday from my dad (5/30/09). For some reason, this has really caused me to pause. I think I know why. I grew up on "the hill" and Larry was two years older than I. I saw Andy more frequently. Kids being kids, I don't have many pleasant memories of that time of my life--always being picked on. However, Larry was always friendly to me. I would see him occasionally at our daughter's sporting events and Larry would always greet me and ask me how my dad was. My dad said Larry would always come up to him and say "hi, Mr. Incropera, how are you." To me, these are marks of a great "man." I will miss running into him and seeing his smiling face. Dear Reusch Family, (Kate,Mary,Andy) Please accept my very deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear brother, Larry. He was such a much loved brother and well-respected, much accomplished, and admired member of the community. April 26th 2009 Dear Family Reusch: Minutes ago, as I started looking at my school mail in preparation for school tomorrow, I learned of the passing away of Larry. I cannot express enough the sadness that I feel right now. On several occasions we shared a table at the teachers' tiny's lounge, at the Old High School, he was a kind, dedicated teacher, a good friend and a highly respected colleague. We hope that others learn from him that life is only as special as we make it. He and Stan were both being treated when they golfed together in the SBBA tournament. Mr. Reusch will be dearly missed. Must say one of the greatest teachers to ever teach in Lawrence. He has made such an impact on many of our lives, and what a man he was. Fun times with him all around. What more can a person ask for in a teacher. Someone loving, caring, and an all around wonderful person!

My dearest apologizes for the Reusch familys loss. Mr. Reusch was an amazing friend, coach, and compainion to have around throught my years in Lawrence High School. He taught me how to be courageous, gave me the strength and push that I need when I felt like throwing out the towel and dropping my classes or drop out of high school. He always knew how to keep a bright, crisp smile on a person face. And I will always remember and cherish those moments. May he rest in peace with the angels. My prayers are with the family. My peace take over your hearts and minds at this difficult time in your lives. Mr. Reusch was a hilarious teacher and his tough exterior was only a little part of him. Once you made him laugh he was putty in your hands..at least that's how I seen him. He will always be remembered in the halls of LHS.Class of 2002 will always miss you.
