Kevin Joseph Murphy's Obituary
Kevin Joseph Murphy, 64 of Lawrence, MA passed away Saturday, September 11th. Kevin was born, raised and educated in Lawrence. He was the only son of Ann (Carter) Murphy and Raymond Murphy. His love of rock music was often noticed by his neighbors on Basswood St where he could be heard cranking out his favorite band Led Zeppelin. Kevin's other passions included the beach, cooking and Boston sports teams; Red Sox, Bruins, Pats & Celtics. His out going personality allowed him to make friends easily. In the early 80's he left for California, where he lived for over two decades until returning home to for care his Mom. Kevin was fiercely proud of his Irish Catholic heritage and Carter family roots.
Kevin is survived by his loving mother Ann, his cat Bubba, several cousins, his Uncle and Aunt Joe and Nancy Carter and many life-long friends. His smile and laugh will be missed by all who loved him.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM and a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA, 01841.
