To all my/our cousins, Craig, John, Cathy, & Mark, as well as all your families: It was very difficult hearing the news of "Aunt Kay's" passing,but after I controlled myself (I was at work in Berlin @ NHCC), I went to the chapel and prayed......I then was over come with great laughter in remembering her great stories & how she would always have some wit or "cheery ditty" to brighten your day......esp. when it came to our son, Gregory (i.e. "I love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck"......which I still sing to him to this day and he smiles and when asked who sang it,he replies (grinning), "Auntie Kay"! Tears of joy & peace I offer you.........God be with you all @ this time.

I was so sad to learn of the passing of Aunt Kay. I will remember fondly the times we visited her home for the family cookouts each summer when I was growing up. Aunt Kay was always so welcoming to us all, and I know we will all miss her good humor and her smile. My heartfelt condolences go out to all my cousins at this sad time.

I was sorry to read of "cousin" Kay's passing. I remember that she came to my mother's funeral about 10 years ago. My mother is Monica (Spires) Hansen from North Andover. She was a cousin to Kay's husband Jack. She is a sister to Loretta (Spires) Hayes and my uncle Edward Spires from Rochester NY. Sadly, they also have passed away in the past few years. But I know that they all kept in touch with Jack and Kay, and always spoke kindly of them. I take care of our family genealogy (http://bobhansen.tribalpages.com) and have updated it with Kay's passing. I also determined that I am a second cousin to Craig, Kathie, John Jr., and Mark. Craig may not remember, but I worked with him at Samson's Supermarket in Lawrence in the early 1960s. Again, I would like to express my condolences, and I know my mother, aunt, and uncle would want me to express theirs also. Best wishes in your time of grief.
