Justine R. (Connelly) Sanborn, 84 years old a resident of Lawrence, MA. Died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Mary Immaculate Restorative/Nursing Center in Lawrence, MA. She was born August 23, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Dennis F. & Rosetta H. (O'Connell) Connelly. She was educated in Lawrence Local Schools and she was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1942. She served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1944-1946 and the Korean War from 1949-1954 Serving with the Womens Accepted Volunteer Emergency Services (WAVES). Mrs. Sanborn worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Post 417 in Methuen, MA. and a longtime parishioner at St, Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence, MA. She is the wife of the late Franklin F. Sanborn and she is survived by numerous nieces nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Sanborn is predeceased by her sisters: Mary M. Collins, Kathleen T. Burke, Rosetta H. Farragher, Frances R. Walsh, Helen C. Shyne, and Anna M. Golden, her brothers: Daniel J. Connelly, John J. Connelly and Dennis F. Connelly Jr. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10:00AM. A burial will follow in the Saint Mary's Cemetery, Lawrence, MA Friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. 01841.
