Judith E. McCarthy's Obituary
Judith E. (Stott) McCarthy, 76, a resident of Methuen, MA and formerly of Lawrence, MA passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at her home lovingly surrounded by her daughters and grandson.
Proudly born and raised in South Lawrence, Judy was a graduate of both St. Patrick’s Grammar School and High School. She retired after 30 dedicated years in the Classified Department at the Lawrence Eagle Tribune. Judy lovingly raised her family in the Tower Hill section of Lawrence with her husband J. Kevin McCarthy, also a Lawrence native who passed away in 1988. Together, they created life-long memories for their children. She made many life-long friends. Many of those special memories were made with her best friend Marilyn Mercier of Lawrence.
The daughter of the late Thomas I. and Helen (McNally) Stott, Judy is survived by her daughters: Erin M. McCarthy, Kathleen McCarthy-Eideh and her fiancé Carlos Barbosa and Meaghan E. McCarthy. She is also survived by her grandson Michael Eideh and her sister Margery Beauparlant of Amherst, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Church, 118 South Broadway in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
