Joyce E. Mura's Obituary
Joyce E. Mura, 92, a resident of Thompson Home for the Deaf in Danvers, MA Which is part of the New England Home for the Deaf Organization, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Lahey Medical Center in Peabody.
The daughter of the late Clarice L. (Howard) and Raymond W. Mura, Joyce was born and educated in Lawrence. She had worked at United Technologies many years ago. Joyce enjoyed participating in the many activities offered at the Thompson Home where she resided for some 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, holiday crafts, playing bingo and going to the beach as well as visiting family.
Joyce was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Carter and Claire Sexton and is survived by 5 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s name to New England Home for the Deaf, 154 Water St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
