Joseph R. "Joe" Carney's Obituary
Joseph "Joe" R. Carney, a resident of Plaistow, New Hampshire, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the age of 44. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, Joseph moved to Kingston, NH at the age of 8. He lived in the family home in Kingston until recently moving to Plaistow. Joe attended Sanborn Regional High School and obtained recognition from the Kingston, NH community while on the school's Basketball Team. Joe was a man of many talents and was very intelligent. He worked well with his hands. Joe had worked as a Licensed Plumber in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He had worked for Apollo Plumbing and Heating of Lawrence. Prior to his job in Plumbing, Joe had made a career as a Skilled Butcher at Kenney & Company until the business closed. Joe enjoyed being in the company of family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his four young daughters. Whether it was working, fishing, or playing guitar, there was always laughter while you were in Joe's presence. Joe was the son of Raymond L. Carney and the late Patricia R. (Marchand) Carney who passed away in March of 1999. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Michelle L. (Shaw) Carney of Methuen, MA., daughters: Erin Patricia, age 10, Aimee Theresa, age 7, twins: Kimberly Anne and Emily Rose who are 5 years old, all of Methuen, MA. Joe is also survived by his father: Raymond L. Carney of Newton, NH, sisters: Jane M. (Carney) George and her husband Randy and Roberta (Carney) Tarmy all of Plaistow, NH., paternal grandmother: Helen Carney of Andover, MA, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe also had many close friends who's presence in his life made tremendous impact on those he met and those who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish-St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Family and friends may call at the Church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
