Joseph "Joe" A. McComiskey, 81, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Lawrence, MA., passed away Thursday, May 31st, 2012 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte Florida. Joe was born on June 20, 1930 in Lawrence to the late Read Obituary

Joe was a dear friend to both me and Paul. He was smart, funny and loyal. We taught school with him at LHS and he made the day brighter. He combated many battles and was victorious. True friends are rare and we are proud to have been his friend. we had lunch with him a few months ago in Punta Gorda and he looked fabulous and seemed so happy.
Thank you Mr. McComiskey for all your years of service to the students of Lawrence High School. Math was always a challenge for me. You did your best to help me! I know you were dancing away and playing bridge up in Punta Gorda the last time I had emailed you. My condolences go out to the family. Please know that he will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
