John Thomas Reid's Obituary
John Thomas Reid, 54, a resident of Lawrence, MA and formerly of Pittsfield, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home.
The son of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Marsh) Reid, John was born in Tewksbury, MA, and was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and then went on to graduate from Husson College in Bangor with his associate degree in business administration. John had worked in software support for Sentric and prior to that for Nuview in Andover, MA and was very respected for his knowledge and talent in the field. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5633 at St. Agnes Parish in Pittsfield. John’s favorite hobby was watching television. He will be remembered as a kind and giving person who loved taking care of people. John was king of the puns and dad jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Members of John’s family include his wife: Delinda R. (Goodwin) Reid, his sisters: Denise J. Reid and Gail M. Reid both of Hartland, ME as well as Brenda A. Reid of Vassalboro, ME, his nephew Adam J. Micheller, his great nieces Sophie and Emilia Micheller, as well as his cat “Smokey” and his wife’s cat “Charlie”.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland, ME.
