John J. O’Hearn Jr. 84, a resident of Methuen, died on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Josephine and John O’Hearn Sr. He was lifelong resident of Lawrence and Methuen, and a graduate Lawrence High School Class of 1952.
A member of Merrimack Country Club for 50+ years, and married at the original clubhouse. He served as President of Far Conner’s Country Club. Member of Tile Setters Union, Local 3 Boston MA, and Owner of North East Tile Company. John has tiled many famous Boston locations including First National Bank of Boston, Ted Williams Tunnel, John Hancock Building, and many Olympic swimming pools throughout the college area. President of Manzi Park Gardens for two years. Member of Methuen Knights of Columbus.
Survived by his wife Pauline (DerBogosian) O’Hearn, his children John J. O’Hearn III and his wife Peggy, Karen Abate, Kelly Welch and her husband Michael, William (Bill) O’Hearn and his wife Marie, Tracy Zarzour and her husband Gregory, Robin Pataki and her husband Steve. His grandchildren, Pepperjean, Jackie IV and his wife Jess, Robbie, Christopher, Michael and his wife Jenna, Gregory, Austin, Conner, and Sean, and 4 great granddaughters, Isabelle, Ciara, Ally, and Rose. Also survived by his sister Mary O’Hearn and predeceased by his brothers Thomas and James O’Hearn.Funeral services are private.
