I am really sorry. He was a great guy. He was so sharp, funny and savvy, so acute and well-informed. He seemed to live a very balanced life. He struck me as an unusually sane person, and a true gentleman. My sympathies to all. Dan Fitts Haverhill MA
I was prileged to know John and to work with him during his decade at the Worcester Telegram. In fact, he replaced me as City Hall reporter and columnist and did a great job. He was a wonderful person--brilliant, quick-witted, kind and generous. Mary, too. I saw John a few times since thos early days, and he was much the same. He was an oustanding person, and there were no limits on his ability. My sympathy to his family.
Dear MaryEllen, Dave and Kids. I am so sad to hear of John's passing. In the short time I knew him, I found a wonderful man and a great neighbor. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and if I can help in any way, please let me know. Dana Sweet
Susan, Rob, and MaryEllen, I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was such a wonderful man who was loved by so many people. Memories of him, along with Aunt Mary, as well as all of you, are in my mind today. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I remember well coming to your home with my family as a young child. Another memory I have is all the Walshes being at the beach together and all the turmoil as well as fun that goes along with that. Please remember that you are in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything any of us can do, please don't hesitate to ask. All our love, Jennifer Walsh Bakanosky and family
