John A. Winn's Obituary
John A. Winn of North Andover died on April 9th, 2013. Born in Methuen, Mr. Winn graduated from Central Catholic High School in its first class. He was further educated in California and Southern Law University. After retiring from a career in the regular Navy, Mr. Winn was employed for many years in the California Department of Motor Vehicles as a manager in the Field Office Division where he traveled and lived throughout the state. He later owned his own real estate brokerage and was an active member of the California Board of Realtors. He was a long time member of the Fleet Reserve Association and a former Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his wife, Catherine, lived in many states and together traveled to many places throughout the world, both in his navy career and in later years. Survived by his Wife of 72 years, Catherine J. (Golden)Winn Son Thomas Winn and his wife, Rosa of North Hampton, New Hampshire Son Robert Winn and his wife, Karyn of Exeter, New Hampshire Three Grandchildren: Jessica, Julie and John As well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Sunday, April 14th, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 15th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael?s Church in North Andover, Massachusetts. His burial will take place at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
