John A. Pari's Obituary
John A. Pari, 90 years old of Lawrence, MA, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, MA. Born on November 2, 1918 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Dominic and Antonia (Nardella) Pari, John was educated in the Lawrence school system and graduated from Lawrence High School. He worked for Western Electric in North Andover, MA as a millwright for over 21 years until his retirement in 1980. John belonged to the Pioneers Club of Western Electric and was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Lawrence, MA. He loved to spend time with his family, sing, dance, play cards and vacation at Salisbury Beach. Mr. Pari leaves his loving wife of 68 years, Amelia M. (Rossi) Pari. He is also survived by his daughter Joanne M. and her husband Earl K. Merrow of Salem, NH, brother Luigi Pari of St. Charles, Illinois, two grandsons, Michael K. Merrow and partner Helen (Heidi) M. Riccio of Salem, NH, and Sean C. and his wife Karen P. (Meredith) Merrow of Hudson, NH as well as five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Margaret De Monaco and his half brother Lewis Pari. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence, MA. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
