Joan M. (Santos) MacLeod's Obituary
Joan M. MacLeod, 84, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence on May 11, 1941, she was the daughter of Grace (Moriarty) Stoney. and Clarence Santos and also step-daughter to the late Robert Stoney. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard MacLeod, her son John MacLeod and sister Rose Knox.
Joan earned her degree in nursing and dedicated her career to caring for others, working at many of the local area hospitals.
Outside of her professional life, Joan treasured moments shared with her family and cherished time spent in Deerfield Beach, Florida and New Hampshire lakes region.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (MacLeod) and her husband Patrick Byron; her sister, Carole Stoney; her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Cary McDermott; her brother and sister-in-law James and Ruthann Stoney; her brother-in-law, Frederick Knox; and other family members Melody Byron and Alison Weisenborn as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA.
