To Joan's Family, We learned of Joan's passing last night when we spoke with our dear friend (and Joan's), Tom Lowary. It was our pleasure to know Joan through Tom, and together, we shared many happy times in our home in Pebble Beach, and we four enjoyed numerous fine lunches and dinners at fine, and sometimes, not-so-fine restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula. Joan literally could not take a bad photo, she was so beautiful, but the real secret was that she was beautiful on the inside. Caring, kind, witty, with a zest for life, a positive attitude, and a love for her family, especially the little ones...Joan was the epitome of grace in a petite and lovely woman. We were sad to learn of her death, but will remember always her lesson of being open to making new friends, at any age. A candle is lit in her memory at Immaculate Heart of Mary church in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and she will be remembered in our hearts forever. May you be comforted by our prayers and in knowing she will be remembered with a smile. Thank you for including our friend, Tom, in her memorial, that meant a lot to him.
