Jerry DiGuglielmo's Obituary
Jerry DiGuglielmo, 89, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, Jerry was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and being awarded the National Defense Service Medal. While serving in Germany, Jerry met the love of his life Irmgard Egger who would become his wife of 61 years. Jerry went on to become an Engineer Manager for the Service Repair Unit at Fort Devins retiring in the early 1970’s. He was an active member of the Lawrence Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. #65. Jerry loved to golf as well as all the Boston sports teams and trips to Mohegan Sun.
The widower of Irmgard (Egger) DiGuglielmo, family members include several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Jerry was predeceased by his siblings Pauline Toto, Flora DeQuattro and Carmin and Gino DiGuglielmo. He is also survived by his special friends at the McDonald’s on Haverhill Street in Methuen, MA.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
