Jeannette T. (Lamontagne) Hartling's Obituary
Jeannette T. (Lamontagne) Hartling, 75, a resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen after a long illness. Born in Lawrence, Jeannette was educated in the Lawrence Schools. She had worked for many years at Honeywell and later worked for the Lawrence Public Schools until her retirement. Jeannette was an avid Bingo and 45's player. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids as well as traveling with her children. Jeannette volunteered at many charity organizations. She was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. The daughter of the late David and Rose (Montana) Lamontagne as well as the widow of James G. Hartling, family members include: her daughter: Barbara Simard and Glenn Williams of West Newbury, MA. sons: Rick Simard of Lawrence, and Michael and Jennifer Simard of Methuen. grandchildren: Chelsea and Shane Sawicki of Farmington, CT., Jonathan Simard of West Newbury, MA., and Alyssa Simard of Methuen. sisters: Elaine Scanlon of Lawrence, and Rose Lawrence of Lawrence. brothers: Russell Lamontagne of Texas, Robert Lamontagne of Seabrook, NH, and Leo and Rene Lamontagne both of Lawrence. son-in-law: Chet Sawicki of Farmington, CT. Jeannette was the mother of the late Brenda Sawicki as well as sister of the late Rita Higginbottom, Alice Higginbottom, Irene Desrosier, Doris Gauthier, and David Lamontagne, Jr. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jeannette's family would like to thank the staff at both the Mary Immaculate Assisted Living and the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA.
