Jean Marie McAndrew's Obituary
Jean Marie (Anderson) McAndrew, 80, was born to Eternal Life on July 20, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. She bravely fought pancreatic cancer for 22 months. When diagnosed at age 78, she said “I want to fight, I have so much to live for.” Her positive attitude and her love for life, amazed everyone around her.
Jean was born in Lawrence, MA on February 17, 1941 and graduated from Lawrence High School with Great Distinction in 1958. She dedicated her life to her family, raising her six children in Methuen, MA, and spending summers at Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH. She retired in Pelham and enjoyed watching her many grandkids swimming and playing on the beach.
She has been reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, John McAndrew Jr., and her parents, Raymond and Eva Anderson, her sister Paula Francis, son-in-law Christopher Godin, and many other beloved relatives and friends.
She is survived by her son, John McAndrew and his wife Meg of Methuen, MA and daughters: Karen Trudel and husband Marc of Salem, NH, Kathy Godin of Nashua, NH, Carolyn Killian and husband Alex of Danville, NH, Christina Godin and her husband Scott of Pelham, NH, and Cynthia Bistany and husband Matthew of Methuen, MA. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth Martineau and husband Joseph of Methuen, MA, and brothers Russell Anderson and his wife Catherine of Lawrence, MA, Kenneth Anderson and his wife Dale of Haverhill, MA and Raymond Anderson and his wife Anne of Lawrence, MA as well as her brother-in-law Bruce Francis.
Her light will continue to shine in the smiles of her grandchildren: April, Laura, Celia, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Daniel, Lauren, Brian, Jannell, Kayla, Joshua, Nathaniel, Alyra, Anthony, Darren, Corey, Alanna and Eva and great-grandchildren Bobby, Vinny, Victoria, Tommy, Charlie, Teddy, Andrew, Lena, Cait and Luna Jean.
She will surely continue to watch over her family from Heaven.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Church, 12 Main Street, Pelham, NH. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street, Methuen, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
