Jane (Sullivan) Heggarty's Obituary
Jane (Sullivan) Heggarty, 81, died peacefully on November 29th, 2020 at the Nevins Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
A true Lawrencian, she was born January 16th, 1939 in Lawrence, MA to the late Frances and Anna Sullivan.
Jane was educated at Saint Mary Grammar and Saint Mary High School in Lawrence.
She worked for Avco Companies in Wilmington and retired from the City of Lawrence in the DPW Department.
She was married to John E. Heggarty for 41 years until his passing in 2006.
Jane was a kind-hearted woman whose greatest joy was her family. Her strong Catholic faith and her Irish heritage are what she will be remembered for.
Jane is survived by her daughter Kate and son in law Mike Grant of Haverhill,
her son John and daughter-in-law Becky Heggarty of Methuen, and her grandchildren Connor and Emily Grant and Madison, Isabelle, and Jack Heggarty. She also leaves her sister Patricia Murdock of Merrimac, MA and her brother Frank and sister-in-law Dolores of Cape Coral, FL and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to thank the incredible caregivers at the Nevins Nursing Home who showed kindness and compassion while Jane was a resident there.
Due to Covid-19, health and safety protocols will be followed. We are encouraging family and friends to think of their own safety and comfort level and if you cannot attend the service please say a prayer in Jane’s memory. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church in 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. Burial will be private and the arrangements are under the direction of the John Breen Memorial Funeral Homes, Lawrence and North Andover, MA. www.breenfuneralhome.com.
