Jane A. Keenan (Hanlon) passed away surrounded by friends and family on Monday. She was 82 years old. She was born in Lawrence, MA on July 9, 1942 the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Hanlon (Garvin). She graduated from Lowell S Read Obituary
I am so sorry to be reading this passing of Ms. Keenan. She was my gym teacher at the John Breen School. She always made gym time fun. I seen her quite a few years back. Always such a nice woman. May she R.I.E.P always. My condolences to the family.

I went to grammar, high school and college with Jane. We lived next door to each other and drove together to college. She was an avid swimmer and was once a lifeguard at one of the pools in Lawrence.

My mom, grandmother and Jane were the three most important women in my childhood. Jane was a born caretaker and beloved soul. Her laugh and love were contagious. Good times and bad I always ended up in her company. Her home at the beach was always a safe harbor for me. Her devotion to her faith was a power of example to me in my doubting years. Her example was in her walk in faith.
I’m so thankful Jane was in my life.
I hope her and Helen are enjoying a smoke and a beer with their feet in the beach sand.
