When I joined the faculty at Merrimack College forty eight years ago, Jim took me under his wing and helped me to settle in and to get off to a good start in my new career.

Marguerite, Our deepest sympathies on the loss of this kind and wise man. You and Jim will be in our prayers. May he rest in peace. Mike and Arleen Bradley
Terrible news on Professor Sweeny's passing. He was my Philosophy (logic) teacher at Merrimack College, a memorable class. He was always helpful and cordial. Later in life as a businessman I ran into Professor Sweeny often at Lawrence City Hall. There are not enough words to describe the impact of this loss.
