James M. "Jim" Mannion's Obituary
Mr. James "Jim" M. Mannion, 72, of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at the Whittier Rehabilitation and Hospital in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 1st, 1939 in Methuen, son of the late Phillip and Gladys (Petzold) Mannion. James was educated in the Methuen Schools and was a parishioner of Saint Monica's Parish. He served in the United States Navy. James worked as a salesman for 48 years for the Pepsi Cola Company in Haverhill, Massachusetts. James was a life member of the Rocky Club in Lawrence, he was a life member of the Ridge Runners Sports Club in Bradford, he was a girls soft ball coach and an Associate of the VFW Post 8349 in Methuen. James was an avid golfer he loved to travel to the Beach and Florida, he enjoyed fishing and ice fishing and he especially loved spending time with his family. Mannion and his wife Lisa of Salem, NH Kenneth R. Mannion of Windham, NH Richard R. Mannion of Pelham, NH His Brothers: Gary Mannion and his wife Sandy of Methuen, MA Thomas Mannion and wife Leslie of North Andover, MA Edward Mannion and his wife Margaret of Canada His Sisters: Pamela Davidson and her husband James of Haverhill, MA Diane Wall and her husband Alan of Northwood, NH Carol "Honey" Penny and her husband William of Florida 16 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. His deceased siblings: Charles Mannion, William Mannion, Dennis Mannion, Shirley Bilodeau and Patricia Allain. His deceased wife of 44 years Mrs. Jacqueline J. (Parent) Mannion. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Monday, December 5th, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
